Mr. G. Dailly was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration card were produced for the greyhound Running Spot pursuant to GAR 33.

Skip Bail was a late scratching at 6:30PM due to non arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Yvonne Carter was fined the sum of $100.

Hone In, Perfect Rider, Proven Malibu, Receptive, Interlaken and Menindee collided approaching the first turn checking all greyhounds. Smart Judo eased approaching the first turn. Interlaken and Menindee collided on the first turn checking Menindee, Receptive and Hone In. Perfect Rider checked off Interlaken approaching the home turn. Menindee checked off Perfect Rider approaching the home turn checking Receptive. Receptive raced wide entering the home straight.

Stewards spoke to A Dailly, the handler of the greyhound Smart Judo regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn. Smart Judo was vetted and re-vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left hamstring, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Smart Judo with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Ms Daily pleaded guilty to the charge, Smart Judo was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Marvelous Marvin contacted the running rail approaching the home turn. Morson Senor faltered on the home turn and fell as a result. 

Morson Senor was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left shoulder and left pencil muscle. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. 

Monaleen Ned was slow to begin. 

Meat Titan, Shades Of Sassy and Belt Up Foss collided approaching the first turn. Belt Up Foss, Fruit Spice, Zipping Sally and Dyna Flash collided on the first turn checking Fruit Spice and Zipping Sally. Monaleen Ned checked off Fruit Spice approaching the home turn. Zipping Sally checked off Dyna Flash approaching the home turn. Fruit Spice and Dyna Flash collided entering the home straight.

Stewards spoke to F Mercieca regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Dragon Glass. Stewards directed that Dragon Glass be boxed first in future events.

Napalm checked off Sierra on the first turn. Sierra and She's Dee Rocket collided on the first turn checking She's Dee Rocket, Mr. Stealer and Cash And Co. Next Grange and What's To Like collided on the home turn checking What's To Like, She's Dee Rocket and Sierra. Cash And Co and What's To Like collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds. Sierra eased approaching the winnng post.

Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Sierra with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Dailly pleaded guilty to the charge, Sierra was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Runaway Shaye engaged in this event on Tuesday 17th of May, 2016 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Ryhan's Request and Major Flo collided on the home turn. Zipping Vito raced wide in the home straight.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A)

Stewards spoke to Mr Morris-Flynn, the trainer of Frankie Tana regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Frankie Tana last raced on 1 November 2015. Mr Morris-Flynn stated that the greyhound had a change of kennel. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Frankie Tana trialled over the 390m from box 1, weight 28.5kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.63, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4.25 lengths. Frankie Tana was Cleared.

Satisfactory Weight Trial  -

Fiery Felix trialled over the 390m from box 5, weight 29.5kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.63, the greyhound won by a margin of 4.25 lengths. Fiery Felix was Cleared.
