A pre-race sample was taken from Wild Angel.
Lightning Lil, Wild Angel and Aaron Soda were slow to begin. Arvo's Steva, Aaron Soda and La Petite collided approaching the first turn checking Aaron Soda. Lightning Lil, Arvo's Steva and La Petite collided on the first turn checking Lightning Lil and severely checking Arvo's Steva. Aaron Soda raced wide approaching the second turn. Wild Angel was checked off Kev's Choice on the second turn. Lightning Lil raced wide on the second turn. Wild Angel galloped on Kev's Choice approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.
