Due to a malfunction with the semaphore board, the placings and times were unable to be displayed. The first split for this event was hand timed at 4.82 sec.

A pre race sample was unable to be obtained from Hurricane Craig, a post race sample was subsequently taken. 

Lucky Andy and Walt's Star were quick to begin.  Pope Zone was slow to begin.  Lucky Andy crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Arvo's Nico and Bozza Boloney.  Little Mischa and Hurricane Craig collided soon after the start checking Little Misca.  Rahn and Hurricane Craig collided approaching the first turn checking Hurricane Craig. Hurricane Craig, Bozza Boloney and Arvo's Nico collided on the first turn checking Hurricane Craig and severely checking Bozza Boloney which stumbled.  Pope Zone was checked off Rahn on the first turn.

Hurricane Craig was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the right front toe and and an abrasion to the right front foot, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Lightning Lil, Wild Angel and Aaron Soda were slow to begin.  Arvo's Steva, Aaron Soda and La Petite collided approaching the first turn checking Aaron Soda. Lightning Lil, Arvo's Steva and La Petite collided on the first turn checking Lightning Lil and severely checking Arvo's Steva. Aaron Soda raced wide approaching the second turn. Wild Angel was checked off Kev's Choice on the second turn. Lightning Lil raced wide on the second turn. Wild Angel galloped on Kev's Choice approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Barroom Shiraz was quick to begin.  Dusty Daze and Bernadeen were slow to begin.  Dusty Daze crossed out approaching the first turn checking Bernadeen which stumbled.  Collinda Warrior and Barroom Shiraz collided approaching the second turn checking Barroom Shiraz and Happy Colour.  Barroom Shiraz was checked off Miranlou on the second turn.  Dusty Daze and Bernadeen collided on the third turn checking both greyhounds.

Lucky Chic was quick to begin.  Bud The Builder was slow to begin.  Tayla Nicole, Galloping Bobby, Barroom Brawler and Ava's Shadow collided approaching the first turn checking Barroom Brawler and Ava's Shadow.  Barroom Brawler galloped on Tayla Nicole approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Lucky Chic and Cheeky Ellyse collided approaching the second turn. Barney Boloney was checked off Lucky Chic approaching the second turn and raced wide colliding with Galloping Bobby and checking Barney Boloney, Galloping Bobby and Bud The Builder.  Ava's Shadow galloped on Tayla Nicole on the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Ava's Shadow and Bud The Builder collided on the home turn checking Ava's Shadow, Galloping Bobby and Bud The Builder, Bud The Builder raced wide as a result.  Lucky Chic and Cheeky Ellyse collided entering the home straight checking Cheeky Ellyse.

Barney Boloney was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right monkey muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposesd.

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Churchill the representative of Barney Boloney regarding the greyhound's racing actions approaching the second turn.  Mr. Churchill stated that the greyhound is immature and became unbalanced when checking off Lucky Chic at this stage.  Stewards noted Mr. Churchill's explanation and taking into consideration the interferrence and injury sustained took no further action.

Prince Nando was a late scratching at 4.06pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to a laceration on the right front toe.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Rusty Mia and Our Spinner were quick to begin.  Walmac was slow to begin.  Just Gus was checked off Rusty Mia approaching the first turn.  Chantilly Magic, Walmac, Arvo's Violet and Carly Jay collided on the first turn checking Carly Jay and severely checking Arvo's Violet.  Walmac galloped on Rusty Mia on the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Rusty Mia and Carly Jay collided on the home turn.

Lord Somersby was quick to begin.  Renajohn and Aston Park were slow to begin.  Photo Bomber, Hyundai Hawk and Poppy Jay collided soon after the start.  Hyundai Hawk and Poppy Jay collided approaching the first turn checking Poppy Jay.  Photo Bomber and Poppy Jay collided approaching the first turn checking Poppy Jay, Dusty Sky and Aston park.  Renajohn and Photo Bomber collided on the first turn.  Lord Somersby and Hyundai Hawk collided approaching the second turn checking Hyundai Hawk.  Photo Bomber and Hyundai Hawk collided in the back straight checking Hyundai Hawk.  Hyundai Hawk and Aston Park collided on the third turn checking Hyundai Hawk.  Hyundai Hawk galloped on Poppy Jay on the home turn checking both greyhounds, Hyundai Hawk stumbled and raced wide.

Stewards spoke to Ms. C. Barnard, the trainer of Renajon and reminded her of her responsibilities when engaging a catcher.

Mr. T. Churchill, trainer of Fast Boloney declared a new weight of 32.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Fast Boloney last raced at 34.3kg.

Lauren Kasey and Lunar Shadow were quick to begin.  Fast Boloney was slow to begin.  Karaoke Ken and Dee Mum's Girl collided on the first turn checking Dee Mum's Girl.  Karaoke Ken and Dee Mum's Girl collided on the second turn checking Dee Mum's Girl.  Lunar Shadow was checked off Veetee Mist approaching the home turn.  Lunar Shadow raced wide on the home turn.

Max Roxy was quick to begin.  Mr. Nasty Time and All About Arby were slow to begin.  Scanez Elect crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Mr. Nasty Time, Madam Model, Zamlee Magic and Aqua Morgan.  Madam Model, Zamlee Magic, Aqua Morgan and All About Arby collided on the first turn checking Aqua Morgan and All About Arby and severely checking Madam Model.

Star's Delight was quick to begin.  Spy Miss, Every Cloud and Alotta Memories were slow to begin.  Spy Miss was checked off Brindle Audrey on the first turn.  Miss Sim and Salute The Bar collided on the first turn.  Spy Miss and Alotta Memories collided in the back straight checking Spy Miss.  Brindle Audrey and Every Cloud collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Every Cloud clipped the heels of Brindle Audrey on the second turn.

Jazzy Fizzle was quick to begin.  Bright Sky and Gee Whiz Gran were slow to begin.  Run Home Dash, Bright Sky and Gee Whiz Gran collided soon after the start checking Run Home Dash.  Gee Whiz Gran was checked off Bright Sky on the first turn.  Run Home Dash and Gee Whiz Gran collided on the first turn checking Run Home Dash.

Run Home Dash was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Lulu Noir and Arvo's Leroy were quick to begin.  Home Alone and Da Goose were slow to begin.  Dodge The Cop and Mary's Tam collided approaching the first turn checking Lulu Noir and Fiesty Ivy and severely checking Mary's Tam which stumbled checking Home Alone.  Mary's Tam and Da Goose collided on the first turn checking Mary's Tam.

Mary's Tam was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured left metatarsal, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Dodge The Cop - winner of the event.

A pre-race sample was taken from Oxygen Bandit.

Tricky Trey and Oxygen Bandit were quick to begin.  Jay Kay Be was slow to begin.  Fear Fire, Dodge The Speed and Peter Repeater collided soon after the start checking Dodge The Speed.  Fear Fire and Peter Repeater collided on the first turn checking Peter Repeater.  Jay Kay Be and Dodge The Speed collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Peter Repeater raced wide on the first turn checking Oxygen Bandit.  Make Us Magic was checked off One More Des approaching the home turn.  Fear Fire was checked off Make Us Magic on the home turn.  Peter Repeater raced wide on the home turn.

Meeting Comments:

Stewards noted that the split in the back straight (1st split for 315m) failed to capture a time for races 1-6, these splits were subsequently hand timed.

Satisfactory trial results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Bailey the trainer of Aeroplane Kenny regarding the length of time since the reyhound last raced.  Aeroplane Kenny last raced on 25/10/15. Mr. Bailey stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a hock injury.  Pursuant to GAR 77A Aeroplane Kenny trialled over 315 metres from box 8, weight 33.5kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.12 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of 2.25 lengths.  Aeroplane Kenny was cleared.

Satisfactory trial results:-  Arvo's Leo trialled over 395 metres from box 1, weight 31.7kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.83 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 19.25 lengths.  Arvo's Leo was not cleared.

Satisfactory trial results (GAR 77A) and weight trial - Stewards spoke to Mrs. K. Gorman the trainer of Maserati Rev regarding the length of time since the reyhound last raced.  Maserati Rev last raced on 11/10/15.  Mrs. Gorman stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an unknown injury and a change of kennel.  Pursuant to GAR 77A Maserati Rev trialled over 395 metres from box 3, weight 32.4kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.83 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of 6.5 lengths.  Maserati Rev was cleared.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Carrodus-Nagy and reminded him of his responsibilities to not take drinks into the restricted wash bay area.
