Steward's Report
Due to a malfunction with the semaphore board, the placings and times were unable to be displayed. The first split for this event was hand timed at 4.82 sec.
A pre race sample was unable to be obtained from Hurricane Craig, a post race sample was subsequently taken.
Lucky Andy and Walt's Star were quick to begin. Pope Zone was slow to begin. Lucky Andy crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Arvo's Nico and Bozza Boloney. Little Mischa and Hurricane Craig collided soon after the start checking Little Misca. Rahn and Hurricane Craig collided approaching the first turn checking Hurricane Craig. Hurricane Craig, Bozza Boloney and Arvo's Nico collided on the first turn checking Hurricane Craig and severely checking Bozza Boloney which stumbled. Pope Zone was checked off Rahn on the first turn.
Hurricane Craig was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the right front toe and and an abrasion to the right front foot, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
A sample was taken from Walt's Star - winner of the event.
