Steward's Report
The start of this race was delayed by approximately 2 minutes to allow time for the stewards to confirm the blinker endorsement for Forward Thinking.
Stewards spoke to Mr G.Kearns, the trainer of Uncle Ant regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Uncle Ant last raced 23rd of January, 2016 and is returing to racing after a change in kennel.
Transkei Prince was a late scratching at 6.17pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to an injured hock. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre race sample was taken from Zipping Scarlet.
Forward Thinking, Uncle Ant and Mum's Gem were slow to begin. Forward Thinking and Mum's Gem collided soon after the start. Uncle Ant checked off Amaroo Crack It on the fourth turn. Uncle Ant and Sonic Petite collided on the home turn. Amaroo Crack It and Forward Thinking collided on the home turn, checking Forward Thinking.
