Kokoda Eclipse, Andy Jay, Wino Waves and Tell Me Ma were slow to begin.  Kokoda Eclipse checked off Wino Waves approaching the second turn.  Lopsided checked off Fear The Boss in the back straight.  Lazza Mikado and Fear The Boss collided approaching the home turn.  Lopsided, Tell Me Ma and Sunday Sess collided on the home turn.  Tell Me Ma veered out and marred Lopsided in the home straight.

Lopsided was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left triangle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Tell Me Ma was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to J Carr, the trainer of the greyhound Tell Me Ma regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Tell Me Ma with marring. J Carr pleaded guilty guilty to the charge, Tell Me Ma was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Zipping Laura and Cette Away were slow to begin.  Penelopes Cruzn, Dyna Shinko and Shine collided on the first turn, checking Shine.  Miss Kadia, Delta Daisy, Utopia and Cette Away collided on the first turn, checking Utopia.  Penelopes Cruzn and Dyna Shinko collided approaching the second turn.  Delta Daisy checked off Cette Away approaching the second turn.

The start of this race was delayed by approximately 2 minutes to allow time for the stewards to confirm the blinker endorsement for Forward Thinking. 

Stewards spoke to Mr G.Kearns, the trainer of Uncle Ant regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Uncle Ant last raced 23rd of January, 2016 and is returing to racing after a change in kennel. 

Transkei Prince was a late scratching at 6.17pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to an injured hock. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Mighty Bree, Dr. Yanma and Creative Idea were slow to begin.  Mighty Bree and Dr. Yanma collided soon after the start.  Dr. Yanma galloped on the heels of Daintree Teacake approaching the first turn.  Creative Rhythm and Hey Bail collided in the home straight, checking Hey Bail which stumbled as a result.

Enchanted Lass and Wisen Up were quick to begin.  Snow Mistake crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, severely checking Renee Boucheau and Gee Callan.

Stewards spoke to Mr J.Collins, the handler of Quint Bale regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Quint Bale last raced 2nd of February, 2016 and is returing to racing after suffering a right hock injury.

Eren Bale and Mo Keeping were slow to begin.  Cosmic Shiraz checked off Tekki Lightning approaching the first turn.  Mo Keeping and Ima River Boy collided on the first turn, checking Mo Keeping.  Cosmic Shiraz and Mo Keeping collided approaching the home turn.  Zelemar Doll and Tekki Lightning collided approaching the home turn.  Cosmic Shiraz checked off Mo Keeping entering the home straight.

Jesse's Jet was slow to begin.  Solar Rapid and Cinquedea collided approaching the first turn, checking Cinquedea.  Burnsy's Sam, Cinquedea and Won Wron Flyer collided on the first turn, checking Cosmic Coad, Burnsy's Sam, Jesse's Jet, Cinquedea, Miss Utamurra and Won Wron Flyer.  Solar Rapid and Rusty Boy collided several times from the first turn until the home turn, checking Solar Rapid, Cinquedea and Burnsy's Sam.  Cosmic Coad checked off Rusty Boy entering the hoem straight, checking Solar Rapid and Cinquedea.  Jesse's Jet and Won Wron Flyer collided approaching the winning post.

Solar Rapid was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to E Johannsen, the representative of Beyond Today regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Beyond Today last raced on 13 September 2015. E Johannsen stated that the greyhound was returning from an injured left front toe.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Beyond Today trialled over the 311m from box 1, weight 31.2kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.23, the greyhound won by a margin of 4.25 lengths. Beyond Today was cleared.
