A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Miss Cintiarna, a post race sample was subsequently taken.
Shanlyn George was slow to begin. Miss Cintiarna, Hy Guard and Uinka Allen collided soon after the start, checking Hy Guard. Uinka Allen and Miata Gold collided approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Ecnal and Tear It Down collided approaching the first turn, checking Hy Guard, Uinka Allen and Miata Gold and severely checking Ecnal. Ecnal and Miss Cintiarna collided on the first turn, checking Ecnal. Miss Cintiarna and Scorching Fella collided on the first turn, checking Scorching Fella and Shanlyn George.
