MEETING COMMENTS:

Due to a number of internet issues during kenneliing, kennels closed 10 minutes late.

Yes Mr. Boss, Beer On Tap, Djay Billie and Kana Storm were slow to begin.  Another Hope and Clear Left collided soon after the start.  Yes Mr. Boss and Beer On Tap collided soon after the start.  Clear Left eased approaching the 300m mark and collided with Astute Glib, checking Astute Glib.  Clear Left checked off Another Hope approaching the 250m mark and collided with Kana Storm.  Beer On Tap and Kana Storm collided approaching the 150m mark.

Stewards spoke to L Mitchell, the trainer of the greyhound Clear Left regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the 300m mark.  Clear Left was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right wrist, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Clear Left with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  L Mitchell pleaded guilty to the charge, Clear Left was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr R Johnson trainer of the greyhound Barham Millich which had not raced since 22 November 2015. Mr Johnson stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being in season.

Barham Millich was quick to begin.  Chase's Chance, Ral Ral and Cincinnati Lass were slow to begin.  Ral Ral and Cincinnati Lass collided soon after the start.  Barham Millich and Blood Moon collided soon after the start.  Arkell's Avenue and Chase's Chance collided at the 300m mark.  Arkell's Avenue checked off Chase's Chance approaching the 200m mark.  Captain Crunch and Arkell's Avenue collided at the 200m mark.  ARkell's Avenue and Ral Ral collided several times from teh 150m mark until the 50m mark, checking Arkell's Avenue.

Stewards spoke to R Johnson regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Barham Millich.  Stewards directed that Barham Millich be boxed first in future events.

Thor's Crest and Jack Of Meade were slow to begin.  Tankasaurus and Fat Amy collided soon after the start.  This Is Nice and Mates Blue collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds.  Thor's Crest and Jack Of Meade collided several times from soon after the start until the 300m mark, checking both greyhounds.  Tankasaurus checked off Mates Blue at the 250m mark.  Thor's Crest and Bozza Boloney collided at the 50m mark.

Annunaki was slow to begin.  Marvelous Marvin, Pacific Impulse, Annunaki, As Sweet As and Me The Chief collided soon after the start, checking all five greyhounds.  Marvelous Marvin, Pacific Impulse, Annunaki and As Sweet As collided approaching the 300m makr, severely checking Pacific Impulse and Annunaki.  Marvelous Marvin and As Sweet As collided at the 250m mark, checking Marvelous Marvin.  Marvelous Marvin and As Sweet As collided several times from the 250m mark until the 100m mark, checking As Sweet As.  Audacious Sprite and Cape Ability collided approaching the 200m mark.  Annunaki and Me The Chief collided at the 100m mark.  Me The Chief checked off Annunaki approaching the winning post.

As Sweet As was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Campeon was slow to begin.  Sugar Bang and Bashir collided soon after the start.  Arby crossed to the outside soon after the start.  Campeon, Cosmic Witch and Sugar Bang collided soon after the start, checking Campeon and Cosmic Witch, causing Campeon to cross to the outside as a result.  Sugar Bang and Bashir collided at the 300m mark.  Stumble and Sugar Bang collided at the 200m mark.  Stumble and Boofa Jack collided approaching the 100m mark.

Derby Girl and Alira Kate collided soon after the start.  Princemark Flyer checked off Derby Girl at the 300m mark.  Attract and Miner Rush collided at the 300m mark.  Left Is Right checked off Augusta Dreaming approaching the winning post and collided with Alira Kate.

Rip And Tear and Unexcuseable were slow to begin.  Hop On Black and Marungi Choice collided at the 300m mark.  Hot And Lonesome and Hop On Black collided at the 250m mark and again at the 200m mark, checking both greyhounds.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr I. Hopper trainer of the greyhound Hop on Black after it was established that he engaged the owner of the greyhound to catch it when the owner did not hold a license to do so.

A pre-race sample was taken from Selynya Flash upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Stewards spoke to Mr R. Eades trainer of the greyhound Bold Bling which had not raced since 20 December 2015. Mr Eades stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after recovering from an illness.

A Imperatori was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Furiosa pursuant to GAR 33.

G Paez, trainer of Gats Prodigy declared a new weight of 30.2kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Gats Prodigy last raced at 31.6kgs.

Magical Bling and Black Salve were slow to begin.  Scared Of Sharks, Selynya Flash, Furiosa and Bold Bling collided soon after the start, checking Selynya Flash and Furiosa.  Selynya Flash and Furiosa collided approaching the 250m mark.  Bold Bling and Black Salve collided at the 250m mark and again at the 200m mark.  Magical Bling and Scared Of Sharks collided at the 200m mark.  Gats Prodigy and Brooke's Buddy collided approaching the 150m mark.  Scared Of Sharks and Gats Prodigy collided approaching the 100m mark.  Selynya Flash and Black Salve collided at the 100m mark, checking Selynya Flash and Brooke's Buddy.  Furiosa checked off Selynya Flash at the 50m mark.

Stewards spoke to Mr S. Hughes trainer of the greyhound Ripstick Ella which had not raced since 6 January 2016. Mr Hughes stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being in serason. Mr Huges declared a new weight of 29.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Ripstick Ella last raced at 27.9kg.

Amlin Jewel and Johnny's Return collided soon after the start.  Lulugen crossed to the rail soon after the start and collided with Johnny's Return.  Queen Lagertha and Amlin Jewel collided at the 300m mark.  Queen Lagertha and Kerrie's One collided at the 250m mark, checking Kerrie's One, Queen Lagertha and Amlin Jewel.  Amlin Jewel checked off Oppi Bale approaching the 150m mark.

Lektra Allan was a late scratching at 11.29am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer P Simone was fined the sum of $100.

High Commando and Fireball Jack collided soon after the start.  Pappa Gallo crossed to the outside at the 250m mark and collided with Classy Sparks.  High Commando and Fireball Jack collided at the 200m mark.  Nicky Dal, High Commando and Fireball Jack collided at the 150m mark, checking Fireball Jack.  Pappa Gallo and Classy Sparks collided at the 150m mark.

Happy Hour was slow to begin and crossed to the outside soon after the start.  Sally Gardens and Glass Roof collided soon after the start, checking Sally Gardens.  Sally Gardens crossed to the outside at the 300m mark.  Pulciano and Stoke Of Genius collided approaching the 250m mark.  Scanez Elect checked off Pulciano approaching the 200m mark.  Sally Gardens checked off Precious Prize approaching the 150m mark.  Happy Hour cramped approaching the 100m mark and pulled up as a result.  Pulciano and Stroke Of Genius collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to L Weeks, the trainer of the greyhound Happy Hour.  Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results - Amlin Boy trialled over the 350m from box 3, weight 32.4kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 19.00, the greyhound won by a margin of 14 lengths. Amlin Boy was cleared.
