Due to a number of internet issues during kenneliing, kennels closed 10 minutes late.
Yes Mr. Boss, Beer On Tap, Djay Billie and Kana Storm were slow to begin. Another Hope and Clear Left collided soon after the start. Yes Mr. Boss and Beer On Tap collided soon after the start. Clear Left eased approaching the 300m mark and collided with Astute Glib, checking Astute Glib. Clear Left checked off Another Hope approaching the 250m mark and collided with Kana Storm. Beer On Tap and Kana Storm collided approaching the 150m mark.
Stewards spoke to L Mitchell, the trainer of the greyhound Clear Left regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the 300m mark. Clear Left was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right wrist, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Clear Left with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). L Mitchell pleaded guilty to the charge, Clear Left was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
