Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Kuta's Lad.
Oakstar and Kuta's Lad were slow to begin. Bella Shima and Oakstar collided soon after the start checking Oakstar. Oakstar, Kuta's Lad and Joffa's Old Girl collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Bella Shima, Destini Wildfire, Why Not Barrel and Cardiology collided on the first turn. Destini Wildfire and Joffa's Old Girl collided on the second turn checking Destini Wildfire. Why Not Barrel checked off Oakstar on the fourth turn. Joffa's Old Girl checked off Oakstar on the home turn.
Oakstar was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left wrist and right deltoid injuries, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
A sample was taken from Bella Shima - winner of the event.
Stewards noted that a reflection of the green light off the camera lens appeared to show onto the starting boxes.
