A pre-race sample was taken from Stirling Defence.
Alpha Lucky was quick to begin.
Mister Brown, Lani Bale and Warrion Warrior collided soon after the start. Parsnip, Lani Bale and Warrion Warrior collided approaching the first turn checking Parsnip and Lani Bale. Stirling Defence and Warrion Warrior collided on the first turn severely checking Stirling Defence which contacted the running rail as a result.
Stirling Defence was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left deltoid injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
