Atigrado and Soap were quick the begin. Pure Cascade was slow to begin. Zahhak Zac checked off Atigrado on the first turn checking Pure Cascade. Atigrado and Soap collided entering the home straight. Zahhak Zac and Pure Cascade collided entering the home straight checking Zahhak Zac.

Sweet Shiraz was a late scratching at 3:28pm due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Kai Mook and Fantasy Blaze were quick to begin. Sarashan was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Sarashan galloped on Fantasy Blaze on the first turn checking Sarashan and severely checking Fantasy Blaze. Kai Mook raced wide on the home turn.

Crystal Shell and Razorback Black collided soon after the start. Got The Boot, Tory's Rocket and Crystal Shell collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Tory's Rocket. Got The Boot and Crystal Shell collided approaching the home turn checking Got The Boot. Got The Boot and Tory's Rocket collided on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to G. Villinger, the trainer of Platinum Perri regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Platinum Perri last raced on 18 January 2017 and is returning after a spell.

Murrabit Sammy was a late scratching at 6:00pm after the Trainer, Mr. L. Mitchell presented the incorrect greyhound for this event. Stewards charged Mr. Mitchell pursuant to GAR 86(0) in that he did present the incorrect greyhound for racing, which in the opinion of the Stewards was negligent. Mr. Mitchell pleaded not guilty to the charge. Mr. Mitchell was found guilty and fined the sum of $150. In relation to penalty, Stewards took into consideration that Qualifying Trial Meetings are non stake earning, however are run under race conditions. Stewards advise that the penalty would have been higher if this offence took place at a stake race meeting. 

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Why Not Becky and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 6:00pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer G. Carter was fined the sum of $100.

Buckle Up Scotch was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Platinum Perri checked off Almani Blaze on the first turn. Platinum Perri checked off Buckle Up Scotch in the home straight. 

Mr. L. Mitchell, the Trainer of Murrabit Benny declared a new weight of 27.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Murrabit Benny last raced at 25.7kg.

Storm Train and Conjurer were slow to begin. Murrabit Benny was very slow to begin (8 lengths) and took no competitive part in the event. Awesome Kate checked off Conjurer on the first turn and lost ground.

Murrabit Benny was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Stewards established that Murrabit Benny turned in the boxes.  Acting under GAR 52(1) Murrabit Benny was placed on a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks).

Murrabit Mandy, Baggy's Request and Pacific Beach were slow to begin. Issy Keats and Baggy's Request collided in the home straight. Murrabit Mandy tailed off throughout the event. 

Murrabit Mandy was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Violet Sky was quick to begin. Pacific Power and Belisarius were slow to begin. Pacific Power, Middle Trucker and Belisarius collided on the first turn checking Belisarius. Violet Sky and Kyante collided on the first turn checking Violet Sky. Pacific Power checked off Kyante approaching the second turn. Violet Sky and Kyante collided on the second turn checking Kyante. Violet Sky checked off Pacific Power entering he back straight checking Kyante and Middle Trucker. Violet Sky and Kyante collided on the third turn. 

Crucial Conflict was slow to begin. Maggie's Alone and Crucial Conflict collided entering the home straight.

Ice Cold Yug was slow to begin. Special Unit and Acquire collided soon after the start checking Acquire. Special Unit and Beljay Lilac collided on the first turn. Special Unit checked off Beljay Lilac on the third turn. Ice Cold Yug checked off Special Unit approaching the home turn and again in the home straight. 

Grand Juka was quick to begin. Big Bold Boomer and Swift Unit collided soon after the start and again approaching the second turn checking Swift Unit. Grand Juka and Ice Senorita collided on the second turn checking Grand Juka.

Mr. R. Little,  the Trainer of Riverside Shaz declared a new weight of 28.9kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Riverside Shaz last raced at 27.5kg.

Mr. D. Knocker,  the Trainer of Audacious Bell declared a new weight of 26.8kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Audacious Bell last raced at 25.2kg.

Short Blond Hair was quick to begin. Ashtastic and Audacious Bell collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.

Mr. S. Compaan,  the Representative of Irka Jakit declared a new weight of 27.8kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Irka Jakit last raced at 26.5kg.

Ninetymile Ace and Merchant Prince were slow to begin and collided approaching the first turn.
