Steward's Report
Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Starter Mr G.Glass did not act in any official capacity for this event.
A pre race sample was taken from Chelsea Drogba.
Jordy Paige was quick to begin. Fawn Pursuit and Chelsea Drogba collided soon after the start. Cosmea and Meatball collided approaching the first turn. Carrara Lad, Oh Lele Peter and Mr. Alfie collided on the first turn checking Carrara Lad. Chelsea Drogba and Jordy Paige collided in the home straight.
Chelsea Drogba was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right shin, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
The photofinish print for this event was not made available after the Judges reported that the photofinish trigger failed to activate. After viewing the official video film, the GRV backup system and acting on both the Stewards and Judges observations, the placings were semaphored as 2-3-1-4 and all clear was given.
Meeting Comments:
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr J.Taylor, the trainer of Ido Voodoo regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Ido Voodoo last raced on 13 October, 2016. Mr Taylor stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Ido Voodoo trialled over the 390m from box 7, weight 32.4kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of four starters. The time of the trial was 22.27, the greyhound won by a margin of 12.75 lengths. Ido Voodoo was cleared.
