Stewards spoke to Ms P.Boots, the trainer of Parvati Grange regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Pavarti Grange last raced on 26 January, 2017. Ms Boots stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being seasonal.

Banjo Miss was quick to begin.  Black In Town and Liscoyle Lass were slow to begin.  Parvati Grange was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Avatar Minty and Banjo Miss collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking Banjo Miss which collided with Parvati Grange as a result.  Black In Town and Ray's Wish collided on the first turn.  Ray's Wish and Banjo Miss collided approaching the home turn.  Avatar Minty checked off Found In Quartz on the home turn.  Ray's Wish and Parvati Grange collided entering the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr C.Treherne, the trainer of Bewtiched Star regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Betwitched Star last raced on 14 March, 2017. Mr Treherne stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a injury to the right triangle. Mr Treherne declared a new weight of 26.9kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Bewitched Star last raced at 28.1kg.

No Laying Back was quick to begin.  Rayjan Eddy was slow to begin.  Lucas The Great and Bewitched Star collided soon after the start.  Supasonic Carol and Baloney Bill collided soon after the start checking Supasonic Carol.  Greysynd Ebony and Bewitched Star collided on the first turn.  Vicki and Baloney Bill collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn.  Greysynd Ebony checked off No Laying Back on the home turn.

Rayjan Eddy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Supasonic Magic was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left thigh, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Rayjan Loui was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.  Stewards issued a warning to Mr R. Matthews, Trainer of Rayjan Loui regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.

Silky Strings was slow to begin.  Shytown Hussler and Lucky Love collided soon after the start, severely checking Lucky Love which lost ground as a result.  My Name's Red and Silky Strings collided on the first turn causing My Name's Red to brush the running rail.  Latifi Zeus and Fordo Bale collided on the first turn checking Latifi Zeus.  Fordo Bale checked off Tat Toby in the home straight.

Our Real Deal and Canya Touche were slow to begin.  Our Real Deal checked off Canya Touche soon after the start.  Apatchy Racer checked off You Dance soon after the start checking Our Real Deal and Apatchy Racer.  Brazen Bull and You Dance collided approaching the first turn checking You Dance.  You Dance checked off Apatchy Racer on the home turn.

Our Real Deal was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Pictures To Burn was a late scratching at 6:45pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to dehydration.  No stand down period was imposed.

Cosmic Polly went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.  Muscogee checked off Nitro Heroine soon after the start causing Muscogee to stumble.  Cosmic Polly and Missy Marlus collided on the first turn checking Missy Marlus.  Crackerjack Man checked off Missy Marlus approaching the home turn.

A sample was taken from Sudoku Buddah, the winner of the event.

Shotgun Dollars checked off Rythym Taboo soon after the start.  Zephyric, Longshot Glory and Margin Call collided approaching the first turn checking Margin Call.  Holloway crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Annie Bell and Margin Call.

Chelsea Drogba was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right shin, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

The photofinish print for this event was not made available after the Judges reported that the photofinish trigger failed to activate.  After viewing the official video film, the GRV backup system and acting on both the Stewards and Judges observations, the placings were semaphored as 2-3-1-4 and all clear was given.  

Meeting Comments:

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr J.Taylor, the trainer of Ido Voodoo regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Ido Voodoo last raced on 13 October, 2016. Mr Taylor stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Ido Voodoo trialled over the 390m from box 7, weight 32.4kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of four starters. The time of the trial was 22.27, the greyhound won by a margin of 12.75 lengths. Ido Voodoo was cleared.
