Besta Bale was quick to begin. Merinda Hannah, Kouta Gold and Tegxcellent collided soon after the start, checking Tegxcellent. Kouta Gold and Besta Bale collided approaching the first turn. Tegxcellent and Urana Banjo colided approaching the first turn. Besta Bale marred the running of Kouta Gold in the home straight. Kouta Gold collided with Besta Bale in the home straight, with both dogs easing. Bevvies Bullet and Destini Ricardo collided in the home straight. Tegxcellent raced wide in the home straight. Besta Bale checked off Florida Que approaching the winning post. Bevvies Bullet and Kouta Gold collided approaching the winning post. Tegxcellent, Besta Bale and Kouta Gold collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to K Heinrich, the handler of the greyhound Besta Bale regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn and in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Besta Bale with marring. K Heinrich pleaded guilty to the charge, Besta Bale was found guilty and suspended for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to J Sharp, the trainer of the greyhound Kouta Gold regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn and in the home straight. Kouta Gold was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right quadriceps, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Kouta Gold with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). J Sharp pleaded guilty to the charge, Kouta Gold was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
