Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr J.Lenehan, trainer of Lektra Uncut regarding the length of time the greyhound had between races. Lektra Uncut last raced on 26 February 2017. Mr Lenehan stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a change of kennel.
A pre race sample was taken from Still The One.
Tally Ho Billy and Lektra Uncut collided soon after the start. Zipping Inglis and Aston Dinnigan collided soon after the start. Tally Ho Billy and Aston Dinnigan collided on the first turn, checking Aston Dinnigan. Tally Ho Billy checked off Kwazii on the first turn, checking Lektra Uncut. Zipping Inglis and Still The One collided approaching the home turn, checking Still The One. Tally Ho Billy checked off Zipping Inglis approaching the home turn.
Number 5 appeared on the semaphore board as the winner of the event, before being corrected by the Judge. The correct numbers 8, 5, 7 and 1 were then semphored and the all clear was notified.
Steward’s issued a warning to Mr. M. Lanigan, trainer of Zipping Inglis, regarding his tardiness in boxing the greyhound.
