When And Where was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right front toe injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Fasoli, the handler of the greyhound When And Where regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged When And Where with marring.  Mr. Fasoli pleaded guilty to the charge, When And Where was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. I. Bindley, the trainer of Tricky Mover regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Tricky Mover last raced on 19th November, 2016.   Mr. Bindley stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a back muscle injury.

Hollywood Jones was slow to begin.  Grand Cayman and Zebo Bale collided soon after the start.  Hollywood Jones and Become The Fuse collided on the first turn.  Zebo Bale and Apollo's Twin collided approaching the second turn checking Zebo Bale.

Tambo Flash and Tree Climber Liv collided several times on the second turn.  Shanlyn George galloped on Tree Climber Liv approaching the home turn checking Tree Climber Liv, Shanlyn George and Elswyk Max.  Wild Angel checked off All About Arby approaching the home turn.  Elswyk Max and Shanlyn George collided in the home straight.
