Barellen Genie was a late scratching at 9:58am due to an injury to the right elbow (GAR 23). A ten-day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Blenile Breeze and Beers On Us were slow to begin and collided soon after the start, checking Beers On Us. Elke's Osti, Avatar Minty and Sidey collided soon after the start, checking Avatar Minty and Sidey. Blenile Breeze checked off Beers On Us approaching the first turn and raced wide as a result. Sidey and Elke's Osti collided approaching the home turn. Elke's Osti and Weiss Allen collided in the home straight. Blenile Breeze raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight.
