Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Graham the trainer of Woodleigh Guy regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Woodleigh Guy last raced on 09/12/16.  Mr. Graham stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an injury to both archillies tendons.

Zipping Foy, Woodleigh Guy and Okawa In Black were slow to begin.  Miss Hanna Berry crossed to the outside soon after the start.  Miss Hanna Berry, Smithers and Elite Cheeky collided soon after the start.  Zipping Foy, Woodleigh Guy and Okawa In Black collided soon atter the start.  Dinner Plain crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Miss Hanna Berry.  Zipping Foy and Okawa In Black collided on the first turn.  Smithers and Woodleigh Guy collided approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds.   Elite Cheeky and Okawa In Black collided in the back straight checking Okawa In Black.  Woodleigh Guy and Elite Cheeky collided on the home turn.  Optima Semper and Okawa In Black collided approaching the winning post.

Sandtrack Sniper was slow to begin.  Zahhak Zac and Nanny's Poppy collided soon after the start.  Nasher and Reek collided on the first turn severely checking Reek which faltered and subsequently pulled up.  Tax Relief and Zelemar Cocoa collided on the third turn.

Reek was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right hock and was humanely euthanased.

Following a confirmed phone call from trainer Mr. D. Brown Coolgirl Miss was a late scratching at 2.21pm - Stewards permission.

Off Her Rocker was quick to begin.  Tail Inspector was slow to begin.  Macreadie and Blue Addiction collided soon after the start.  Off Her Rocker, Macreadie and Blue Addiction collided on the first turn checking Macreadie and Off Her Rocker causing Destini Mirror to race wide.  Off Her Rocker and Tail Inspector collided approaching the home turn.  Off Her Rocker and Destini Mirror collided in the home straight.  Destini Mirror and Tail Inspector collided in the home straight.

Macreadie was vetted following the event.  It was reported the greyhound sustained a split webbing on the left hind foot, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Tiger Rising was slow to begin.  Soon Now and Bloke's Advice collided approaching the first turn checking Soon Now and Smokey Senor.  Pie Problem, Bloke's Advice and Tiger Rising collided on the first turn checking Tiger Rising.

Mr. D. Basile the trainer of Ollie Agira declared a new weight of 30.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Ollie Agira last raced at 31.2kg.

A  pre-race sample was taken from Swift Damian.

Galaxy Sprite was quick to begin.  Ollie Agira and Battle Hook collided soon after the start.  Swift Damian and Blocka Boy collided on the first turn checking Swift Damian.  Gold Odessa, Blocka Boy and Galaxy Sprite collided in the back straight causing Galaxy Sprite to race wide.  Ollie Agira and Jessio Fozzio collided on the home turn causing Ollie Agira and Battle Hook to race wide.  Any Other Union and Swift Damian collided on the home turn.  Battle Hook raced wide in the home straight.

Battle Hook was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the right front paw, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Flywheel Sprite and Shackleton were slow to begin.  Dr. Toretto, Willowvale Wings and All About Arby collided soon after the start checking Willowvale Wings.  Shackleton was checked off Jarvis Rhode entering the back straight checking Willowvale Wings.  Shackleton was checked off Flywheel Sprite approaching the home turn.  Flywheel Sprite and Willowvale Wings collided approaching the winning post.

Simbarea was slow to begin.  Simbarea and Smiley Bynes collided soon after the start checking Simbarea.  Smiley Bynes and Johnny Bullet collided several times from soon after the start to approaching the first turn.  Mendacious Lad galloped on Smiley Bynes approaching the first turn.  Johnny Bullet and Vanilla Kiss collided on the first turn severley checking Johnny Bullet.  Moody Ruby and Riverside Kim collided approaching the home turn.  Johnny Bullet and Smiley Bynes collided on the home turn severely checking Smiley Bynes and Mendacious Lad.

Lindrea the trainer of Gully Raider regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Gully Raider last raced on 31/05/16.  Mr. Lindrea stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a fractured right hock.  Pursuant to GAR 77A Gully Raider trialled over 315 metres from box 1, weight 33.3kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.35 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of .25 lengths     .  Gully Raider was cleared.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Boyce the trainer of Armadale Lass regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Armadale Lass last raced on 08/11/16.  Mr. Boyce stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an injured right monkey muscle, seasonal spell and change of kennel.  Pursuant to GAR 77A Armadale Lass trialled over 315 metres from box 2, weight 25.8kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.35 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3.75 lengths.  Armadale Lass was cleared.

Satisfactory trial result:-

Kadalex Kid trialled over 395 metres from box 7, weight 30.9kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 23.25 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of 6.25 lengths.  Kadalex Kid was cleared.

Nimble Lucy trialled over 315 metres from box 6, weight 26.4kg, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.35 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4.5 lengths.   Nimble Lucy was cleared

Kept In Suspense trialled over 315 metres from box 8, weight 31.3kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.35 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of .25 lengths.   Kept In Suspense was cleared.
