Stewards altered the closing time of kennels in accordance with GAR 31 (3) due to the late arrival of the Veterinary Surgeon on track.  As a result stewards altered the starting time of the first race to 3:09pm

Rasleigh Banser was a late scratching at 2:15pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mr. W. Stevens was fined the sum of $100.

A pre race sample was taken from One Way Ticket.

Spritely Malibu was quick to begin.  Ty's Legend and Reen's Dion were slow to begin.  Ty's Legend contacted the running rail approaching the first turn.  Gotcha Mate and Flash Bobbie collided on the first turn checking Gotcha Mate.  One Way Ticket and Spritely Malibu collided on the first turn checking Spritely Malibu and Bad Size.  Reen's Dion checked off Bad Size approaching the home turn.  Spritely Malibu checked off Reen's Dion on the home turn.  Bad Size, Ty's Legend and Reen's Dion collided in the home straight.

Ty's Legend was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Spritely Malibu was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound was found to have neck soreness, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Reen's Dion was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound was found to have general soreness on the right hand side, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards issued a warning to Mrs. J. Holden, the trainer of Reen's Dion regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight

A pre race sample was taken from Tarsier.

Tarsier, Caro's Arrow and Row Tay Tom  were slow to begin.  Whodat Magic, Taabinga Lady and He's Clever collided soon after the start.  Row Tay Tom checked off Umbridge Bale on the first turn.  He's Clever and Umbridge Bale collided entering the back straight checking both greyhounds.  Whodat Magic and Taabinga Lady collided approaching the home turn.  Taabinga Lady and Happy Hamish collided entering the home straight.  Umbridge Bale failed to pursue the lure approaching the winning post and collided with Happy Hamish.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Coulson, the representative for the the greyhound Umbridge Bale regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.  Umbridge Bale was vetted and re vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Umbridge Bale with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Coulson pleaded not guilty to the charge, Umbridge Bale was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Our Bravo Rose was slow to begin.  Seaton Star and Ebony Sprite collided approaching the first turn.  Seaton Star, Destructo Rat and Zipping Kirby collided on the first turn checking Seaton Star.  Swift Damian checked off Joe's Dolly on the first turn checking Zipping Kirby.  Destructo Rat checked off Zipping Kirby approaching the home turn.  Zipping Kirby, Swift Damien and Seaton Star collided on the home turn checking Seaton Star and Swift Damien.  Our Bravo Rose checked off Ebony Sprite entering the home straight checking Galaxy Sprite.  Joe's Dolly and Our Bravo Rose collided approaching the winning post.

Our Mojo and Lizzzie Fields were slow to begin.    Zambora Caitlyn and Handpass collided soon after the start.  Our Mojo galloped on Scarce on the first turn checking Our Mojo and severely checking Scarce.  Handpass, Sudoku Baby and Lizzie Fields collided on the first turn checking Sudoku Baby and Lizzie Fields.  Handpass clipped the heels of Tai Chi Mini approaching the home turn.

Rip Van Winkle and Weldun Son were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.  Night Prancer checked off Zipping Hawk approaching the first turn.  Zipping Hawk checked off Crash Reality on the first turn.  Crash Reality checked off Get Along Daisy on the first turn.  Crash Reality checked off Zambora Pride approaching the home turn.  Zipping Hawk, Get Along Daisy and Zambora Pride collided approaching the home turn checking Get Along Daisy.  Night Prancer raced wide entering the home straight.

Zipping Scarlet was slow to begin.  Barroom Counsel, Beyond Galaxia and Allen Lottery collided approaching the first turn checking Barroom Counsel and Beyond Galaxia.

Stunning Success was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right shoulder injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Sam Whelan was quick to begin.  Mac was slow to begin.  Lainey's Fortune, Zipping Emma and Gold Air collided approaching the first turn checking Zipping Emma.  Lainey's Fortune raced wide on the first turn checking Gold Air, Mac and Jax Mikado.  Lainey's Fortune raced wide on the home turn.

Jax Mikado was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle and left triangle muscle injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Sam Whelan - the 2nd placegetter.

Stewards spoke to Mr. W. Kenney, the trainer regarding the direction that the greyhound Sam Whelan be boxed first.  Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.

Omega Brittany was a late scratching at 2:45pm by Order of Stewards after trainer Mr. B. Harper failed to present the greyhound to stewards at kennelling.  Mr. Harper was subsequently charged with a breach of GAR 86 (0) in that he negligently failed to present Omega Brittany for it's engagement in this event.  Mr. Harper pleaded guilty to the charge.     Mr. Harper was found guilty as charged and was fined the sum of $250.

Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Parade Steward Miss P. Albrecht did not act in any official capacity for this event.

Lektra Damage was slow to begin.  Teflon Travis and Boss Senor collided approaching the first turn.  Boss Senor checked off Astrology on the first turn.  Astrology checked off Avon Glory on the second turn checking Call Me Tickets.  Call Me Tickets checked off Astrology on the second turn.  Boss Senor and Astrology collided in the home straight. 

Boss Senor was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Wot Price Flash - the winner of the event.

A pre race sample was taken from Bending Bananas upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

A pre race sample was taken from Little Black Joe.

Bending Bananas was slow to begin.  Woofenden, Night Hawk and Booma Mikado collided approaching the first turn.  Bending Bananas checked off Paws And Go approaching the first turn.  Woofenden checked off Night Hawk on the first turn.  Booma Mikado clipped the heels of Shanlyn George on the first turn.  Little Black Joe and Night Hawk collided approaching the home turn checking Little Black Joe and severely checking Night Hawk.  Shanlyn George and Maximum Mak collided on the home turn.

A pre race sample was unable to be completed from Bruiser Senor due to contamination during the collecting of the sample,  a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Bruiser Senor was slow to begin.  Kiera Bale and Bumble Bee Bolto collided on the first turn checking Bumble Bee Bolto and severely checking Kiera Bale which lost ground and collided with Woodleigh Blaze.  Woodleigh Blaze raced wide on the home turn checking Bruiser Senor.

Tycore Lad was quick to begin.  Princess Shae and Hello Slick were slow to begin.  Omega Bonner and Little Jebrynah collided on the first turn.  Exhibition and Hello Slick collided on the first turn.  Omega Bonner and Little Jebrynah collided on the home turn.  Tycore Lad and Little Jebrynah collided approaching the winning post.  Exhibition and Omega Bonner collided approaching the winning post checking Exhibition.

Mr. A. Kleeven, trainer of Bolta Neveelk declared a new weight of 31.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Bolta Neveelk last raced at 32.9Kgs.

A pre race sample was taken from Botanic Lass.

Botanic Lass was quick to begin.  Bloke's Advice and What's Her Name were slow to begin.  Bolta Neveelk raced wide soon after the start checking What's Her Name and Zipping Penny.  Surfin' Caity eased on the first turn.  What's Her Name checked off Zipping Penny approaching the home turn.  Botanic Lass and Omega Vera collided approaching the home turn.

 Surfin' Caity was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left shoulder joint injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. J. Holden, the trainer of the greyhound Surfin' Caity regarding the greyhound's racing manners  on the first turn.   Acting under GAR 69(A)(1), the stewards charged Surfin' Caity with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mrs. Holden pleaded guilty to the charge,  Surfin' Caity was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and it was directed that the greyhound perform  a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
