Garick Olivander was quick to begin. Xenon Bale was slow to begin. Miss Yaala, So Amazing, Dyna Kelly and Strength To Wyn collided soon after the start, checking So Amazing. Dyna Kelly, Xenon Bale and So Amazing collided soon after the start, checking Xenon Bale. Xenon Bale checked off Dyna Kelly approaching the first turn. Strength To Wyn checked off Garick Olivander approaching the first turn. Garick Olivander and Pomona Sprout collided on the home turn, checking Garick Olivander. Millie Jade and Garick Olivander collided and raced wide on the home turn. Miss Yaala raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight. So Amazing and Strength To Wyn collided in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to K Heinrich, the handler of the greyhound Millie Jade, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Millie Jade was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the left wrist and right hind webbing, and a right hindleg thigh injury. A five day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Millie Jade with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. K Heinrich pleaded guilty to the charge, Millie Jade was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
