Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr I Brown, the trainer's representative for Vienna Black, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Vienna Black last raced on 15 February 2017. Mr Brown stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a muscle injury.
A pre-race sample was taken from Kate's Boy.
Opalia Bale and Vienna Black were slow to begin. Hearing De Novo, Vienna Black, Crackerjack Sam, Scott Cosmic and Drysdale Doll collided soon after the start, checking Crackerjack Sam. Drysdale Doll and Luck's Run Out collided approaching the first turn. Kate's Boy and Hearing De Novo collided on the home turn, checking Kate's Boy. Hearing De Novo and Vienna Black collided entering the home straight.
Kate's Boy was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
