Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Kalani Shazz.
Dee Mini Mouse was slow to begin. Lettuce Hold On, Predemonic, Riverdale Sugar, Kalani Shazz and Dee Mini Mouse collided soon after the start, checking Predemonic. Allen Simon, Crackerjack Dave and Dee Mini Mouse collided approaching the first turn, checking Dee Mini Mouse. Lettuce Hold On severely checked off Dee Mini Mouse on the first turn and faltered, checking Predemonic. Dee Mini Mouse and Riverdale Sugar collided on the home turn. Dee Mini Mouse raced wide on the home turn.
Lettuce Hold On was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the left and right hindlegs. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to trainer, Ms Anita Courts regarding the direction that the greyhound Predemonic be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.
