Stewards spoke to Mr S.Curtain, the representative of Bluehawk Ralph regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Bluehawk Ralph last raced on 31 January 2017.Mr Curtain stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following an injury caused by a grass seed which resulted in an abcess being formed.
Bluehawk Ralph, Katlin, and So Amazing collided soon after the start. Nice Work checked off Certain Smile approaching the first turn. Gateway To Eden and Certain Smile collided approaching the first turn. Deflection, Bluehawk Ralph and Katlin collided on the first turn. Gateway To Eden and So Amazing collided on the first turn, checking Gateway To Eden and severely checking So Amazing. Delfection and So Amazing collided on the second turn. Nice Work checked off Lockrod on the home turn and again in the home straight. Deflection and Bluehawk Ralph collided several times in the home straight.
