Steward's Report
An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Roman's Legend engaged in this event on 13.5.2017 pursuant to GAR 79.
Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Starter, Mr S.Cowling did not act in any official capacity for this event.
A pre-race sample was taken from Paradiso Lass.
Roman's Legend was slow to begin. Kate's Intention and Renew collided on the first turn, checking Roman's Legend. Roman's Legend checked off Too Fly Man on the second turn. Kate's Intention eased approaching the third turn.
Stewards spoke to Mr. T. O'NeIll, the trainer of the greyhound Kate's Intention regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the third turn. Kate's Intention was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left monkey muscle and both deltoid muscles, a seven day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Kate's Intention with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. O'NeIll pleaded not guilty to the charge, Kate's Intention was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
