A pre-race sample was taken from Mi Blue Day.
Division Four and Mister Heeney were slow to begin.
Mister Brown, Philo Bale and Erelda Bale collided soon after the start. Lochinvar Rox checked off Mighty Bree approaching the first turn. Division Four, Erelda Bale and Lochinvar Rox collided on the first turn. Philo Bale galloped on Mighty Bree on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Erelda Bale checked off Mighty Bree on the first turn severely checking Lochinvar Rox and Mister Heeny.
Lochinvar Rox was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right pencil injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Mighty Bree was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Ms M. Boyle and issued her with a warning for failing to catch the greyhound Mi Blue Day in this event.
