Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Monaghan, the trainer of Darley Dollar regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Darley Dollar last raced on 28th December 2016. Mr. Monaghan stated that the greyhound was returning from being seasonal.

Little Sidey and Boof's Banjo were slow to begin. Crazy Eye Jye and Babs Streishound collided soon after the start. Babs Streishound, Missy Marlus and Boof's Banjo collided approaching the first turn. Boof's Banjo, Babs Streishound, Missy Marlus, Little Sidey and Darley Dollar collided approaching the first turn. Little Sidey was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left hind toes. No stand down period was imposed.

Another Banji was slow to begin. Top Alcohol and Frosty Tiara collided soon after the start. Colombian Coffee, Tat Loxy and Bowon Apache collided approaching the first turn checking Colombian Coffee. Top Alcohol and Frosty Tiara collided on the first turn checking Frosty Tiara. Colombian Coffee and Joycee Rae collided on the first turn. Another Banji and Bowon Approach collided on the first turn. Colombian Coffee, Another Banji and Bowon Approach collided approaching the home turn checking Bowon Approach and Another Banji. Another Banji checked off Bowon Approach on the home turn. Tat Loxy raced wide in the home straight.

Black Star Alert, Cosmic Lotus, Rosso and Adala Prince collided on the first turn severely checking Black Star Alert which collided with Kostya Nuffen. Cosmic Lotus and Rosso collided approaching the home turn. River End and Kostya Nuffen collided on the home turn and again in the home straight.

Black Star Alert was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right wrist. A stand down period of 21 days was imposed.

Kathy's Lady clipped the heels of Lodge's Express on the first turn. Krazy Blaze and Just Banji collided on the first turn and approaching the home turn. Last Princess clipped the heels of Just Banji approaching the home turn and stumbled.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Crazed Blaze trialled over the 450mts from box 8, weight 33.6kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 25.82, the greyhound won by a margin of 2L. Crazed Blaze was Cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results (Blinkers) - Pepper Shannon trialled over the 390mts from box 4, weight 30.8kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.30, the greyhound won by a margin of 5.75L. Pepper Shannon was Cleared To Race In Blinkers.
