Meeting Comments:

Kennels closed 9 minutes late due to the late arrival of the on course veterinarian.

Mahalo Belle and Walk Woody Walk collided soon after the start. Daicos Magic, Dyna Nami and Monster Roar collided soon after the start, severely checking Dyna Nami, which stumbled and lost ground as a result. Monster Roar checked off Walk Woody Walk approaching the first turn. Dyna Nami and Monster Roar collided several times approaching the winning post. 

A sample was taken from My Boy Rylan - the winner of the event. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. Ian Murray, the trainer of Mahalo Belle regarding his failure to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound for racing. Stewards charged Mr. Murray with a breach of GAR 46(2) in that he failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound Mahalo Belle. Mr. Murray pleaded guilty to the charge. Mr. Murray was found guilty and fined the sum of $100. Subsequent to the inquiry, Mr Murray relinquished his Trainers licence to Stewards. Pursuant to LR11.4 Stewards proceeded to cancel Mr Murray's registration from that time.

Gutsy Manolis, Master Kooper and Horus Gun collided soon after the start, checking Master Kooper. Horus Gun galloped on the heels of Gutsy Manolis approaching the first turn. Arctic Blaze galloped on the heels of Hoof It on the first turn. Arctic Blaze and Alera Bale collided approaching the home turn, checking Arctic Blaze, and severely checking Alera Bale. Mustang Sammy, Arctic Blaze and Horus Gun raced wide in the home straight. Arctic Blaze and Horus Gun collided in the home straight. 

Gutsy Manolis was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Show Me Bling engaged in this event on Friday, 22nd April 2016 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Our First Lady and Tycore Lad were quick to begin. Show Me Bling, Dr. Trojan, Soda Storm and Scanez Jewel were slow to begin. Lektra Burst, Dr. Trojan, Soda Storm and Ima Reality collided approaching the first turn, checking Dr. Trojan, Ima Realty and Soda Storm. Ima Reality brushed the running rail on the first turn. Lektra Burst and Scanez Jewel collided on the first turn.

An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Oh Watta Texan engaged in this event on Friday, 22nd April 2016 pursuant to GAR 79A.

A pre race sample was taken from Galester Hook.

Asa Barboza, Galester Hook and Oh Watta Texan were slow to begin. Dr. Luvdisc and Allen Fable collided soon after the start. Oh Watta Texan and Miz Josie collided soon after the start, checking Miz Josie. Galester Hook and Allen Fable collided approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Asa Barboza and Destini Wahoo collided approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Miz Josie checked off Galester Hook approaching the home turn. Dr. Luvdisc and Asa Barboza collided approaching the home turn. Miz Josie raced wide in the home straight. 

Galester Hook was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Ultimate Talent was a late scratching at 6:02pm on Veterinary advice (GAR 37)(fleas).  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Yeah Whatever and Mr. Leigh collided approaching the first turn, checking Mr. Leigh. Stagger Express and Yeah Whatever collided approaching the first turn, checking Yeah Whatever and Sonic Sprite. Memphis Dream and Sonic Sprite collided approaching the home turn. Stagger Express and Boss Senor collided on the home turn. 

A sample was taken from Boss Senor - the winner of the event. 

Stewards spoke to Ms S. Elmes, the Representative of Avatar Sandee regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Avatar Sandee last raced on 6th December 2015 and is returning to racing after a seasonal spell.

Foxy Gems was quick to begin. Allen Impose was slow to begin. Avatar Sandee and Roxy's Pride collided soon after the start, checking Avatar Sandee. Banjo Bewdy and Allen Impose collided on the first turn, severely checking Banjo Bewdy. Banjo Bewdy, Foxy Gems, Down Every Road and Roxy's Pride collided on the first turn, severely checking Foxy Gems, Roxy's Pride and Down Every Road, and severely checking Banjo Bewdy which fell. Good Odds Jet tired over the concluding stages of the event. 

Banjo Bewdy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right monkey muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Good Odds Jet was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Lethal Spider was slow to begin. Zambora Beau, Miss Rossi and Chloe's Entity collided soon after the start. Lethal Spider galloped on the heels of Arrow Allen approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Peragon Falcon and Zall Good collided on the first turn. Lethal Spider and Coogan's Regret collided on the first turn, checking Coogan's Regret. Lethal Spider and Arrow Allen collided entering the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mrs J. Holden, the Trainer of Reen's Fabian regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Reen's Fabian last raced on 16th November 2015 and is returning to racing after suffering a front left tendon injury.

Booma Mikado was quick to begin. Reen's Fabian was slow to begin. Reen's Fabian faltered on the first turn and lost considerable ground. Zipping Laura checked off Off The Hip on the home turn and raced wide. Bird Special raced wide in the home straight. 

Reen's Fabian was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right wrist, a 21 day stand down period was imposed. 

This race was delayed 1.5 minutes due to a malfunction with the trip mechanism.

Barroom Counsel checked off Lead Into Demise on the third turn. Rinash and Destini Firebird collided in the home straight, checking both greyhounds. Lead Into Demise tired over the concluding stage of the event.

Lead Into Demise was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Mr P. Jones, trainer of the greyhound Jax Mikado redeclared a new weight of 31.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Jax Mikado last raced at 33.1kg.

Gunnadoo Will and Acey Boy were slow to begin. Jax Mikado and Zipping Zali collided soon after the start. Squeaky Gate checked off Stretch Limo on the first turn. Stretch Limo contacted the running rail on the first turn. Gunnadoo Will galloped on the heels of Stretch Limo on the first turn, checking Stretch Limo. Squeaky Gate and Acey Boy collided on the home turn, severely checking both greyhounds. Squeaky Gate and Acey Boy collided in the home straight.

Panic Station and Fantasy McQueen collided soon after the start. Phil Miyoot and Dr. Bodacious collided approaching the first turn. Fantasy McQueen galloped on the heels of Jacko's Reply approaching the first turn. Jacko's Reply checked off Dynamic Punch approaching the home turn. Dynamic Punch and Jacko's Reply collided on the home turn.

Thunder Raz was slow to begin. Allen Dynamo and Get Along Daisy collided soon after the start. Magic Ambush crossed to the rail approaching the first turn and collided with Explosive Sky. Explosive Sky and Magic Ambush collided on the first turn. You Say So, Allen Dynamo and Get Along Daisy collided on the first turn, checking You Say So, Allen Dynamo and Explosive Sky.
