Harlon and Landmark were slow to begin. Sonic Sprite and Brylin collided soon after the start. Landmark checked off Dewana Hitman approaching the first turn. Harlon and Landmark collided approaching the first turn. Gary Doogan, Dark Jameson and Dewana Hitman collided on the first turn checking Gary Doogan and Dark Jameson. Brylin crossed to the rail on the first turn. Harlon, Landmark and Sonic Sprite collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Landmark raced wide as a result. Dark Jameson and Harlon collided on the second turn checking Harlon. Gary Doogan, Dark Jameson and Harlon collided entering the back straight checking Gary Doogan, Dark Jameson, Harlon and Sonic Sprite. Harlon and Landmark collided on the third turn checking Landmark. Dark Jameson and Dewana Hitman collided approaching the winning post checking Dewana Hitman.
