Scintillating, Dynamo's Gift and Multi King collided soon after the start. Ennis Bale, Hold On Beau and Relief Plus collided soon after the start. Multi King contacted the running rail on the first turn. Ennis Bale and Hold On Beau collided approaching the home turn. Relief Plus raced wide and eased on the home turn. Hold On Beau checked off Multi King approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Kevin Chivell the trainer of the greyhound Relief Plus. Relief Plus was vetted and re-vetted following event 6, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left thigh, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR69(B)(1), the stewards charged Relief Plus with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
