Sixty Three was quick to begin. Pacific Power and Meeniyan Hawk were slow to begin. Zippy Lynet crossed in soon after the start checking Corroboree and Slick Maggie. Jarvis Jet and Corroboree collided on the first turn. Sixty Three was checked off Zippy Lynet on the first turn. Jarvis Jet, Corroboree and Slick Maggie collided approaching the second turn severely checking Jarvis Jet, Pacific Power and Meeniyan Hawk causing Slick Maggie to fall.
Slick Maggie was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
