Laurentide Ice, Le Freak and Kimba Katani were quick to begin. Jack The Fipa, Caro's Arrow and Akina Blitz were slow to begin. Laurentide Ice crossed in soon after the start checking Laurentide Ice, Bliss Street, Kimba Katani and Le Freak. Bliss Street clipped the heels of Kimba Katani approaching the first turn. Kimba Katani and Bliss Street collided on the first turn. Le Freak and No Quarter Given collided approaching the second turn checking No Quarter Given, Jack The Fipa and Laurentide Ice. No Quarter Given clipped the heels of Le Freak on the second turn checking both greyhounds. Jack The Fipa, Bliss Street and Le Freak collided on the third turn checking Le Freak. Laurentide Ice faltered approaching the winning post.
