Mr. R. Conway the trainer of Jack The Fipa declared a new weight of 34.8kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Jack The Fipa last raced at 36.8kg.

Laurentide Ice, Le Freak and Kimba Katani were quick to begin.  Jack The Fipa, Caro's Arrow and Akina Blitz were slow to begin.  Laurentide Ice crossed in soon after the start checking Laurentide Ice, Bliss Street, Kimba Katani and Le Freak.  Bliss Street clipped the heels of Kimba Katani approaching the first turn.  Kimba Katani and Bliss Street collided on the first turn.  Le Freak and No Quarter Given collided approaching the second turn checking No Quarter Given, Jack The Fipa and Laurentide Ice.  No Quarter Given clipped the heels of Le Freak on the second turn checking both greyhounds.  Jack The Fipa, Bliss Street and Le Freak collided on the third turn checking Le Freak. Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Febey the trainer of Dee Tee Vane regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Dee Tee Vane last raced on 04/01/17.  Mr. Febey stated the greyhound was returning to racing following a right hock injury.

Make It Happen was quick to begin.  Ripsaw Ronny and Who's Irod were slow to begin.  Dr. Marshmellow was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Blocka Boy and Dr. Flannigan collided approaching the first turn.  Gold Odessa crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Gold Odessa and causing Goomac Keats to fall checking Blocka Boy, Dr. Flannigan and Who's Irod.  Dr. Marshmellow raced wide on the home turn.

Rozehill Beth trialled over 315 metres from box 6, weight 26.6kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.36 secs,  the greyhound won by a margin of  2.25 lengths. Rozehill Beth was cleared.
