Perfect Storm was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury and a right hind calf muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Our Charlie Rose was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left metacarpal fracture and a left monkey muscle injury, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms. M. Barber, the trainer of the greyhound Majik Mikado regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn.  Majik Mikado was vetted and after being re vetted following event 7, it was reported that the greyhound was found to have soreness in the right achilles tendon, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)1, the stewards charged Majik Mikado with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Ms. Barber pleaded guilty to the charge,  Majik Mikado was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Hit Legs and Triple Cee were quick to begin.  Eduardo Rose checked off Jimmy's Joken on the first turn checking Triple Cee and Eduardo Rose.  Eduardo Rose, Move That Energy and Triple Cee collided on the home turn checking Move That Energy and Triple Cee.  Hit Legs checked off Jimmy's Joken in the home straight.  Ballymac Finola and Triple Cee raced wide in the home straight.

Connor,  the trainer of Taabinga Express regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Taabinga Express last raced on 26th September, 2016.  Mr. Connor stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being seasonal.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Taabinga Express trialled over the 440m from box 6, weight 30.6kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 25.18, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3.5 lengths.  Taabinga Express was Cleared.
