Stewards spoke to Mr J Birsthel after the greyhound Burrawonga Jimbo was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process.  Mr Birsthel was issued with a warning and reminded when kennelling he ensures greyhounds are kennelled in accordance with kennel procedure. 

Stewards spoke to kennel attendant, Ms A Baker after the greyhound Burrawonga Jimbo was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process.  Ms Baker was reminded of their responsibilities and asked to ensure that all greyhounds are correctly kennelled in future.  This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration.

Stewards spoke to Mr T Monaghan, the trainer of Benny's Promise, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Benny's Promies last raced on 8 December 2016.  Mr Monaghan stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being on season and left shoulder injury.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr G Edwards, the trainer of Grooven Chris, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Grooven Chris last raced on 12 July 2016.  Mr Edwards stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a change in kennels.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Grooven Chris trialled over the 390m from box one, weight 32.0 kgs, the greyhound was placed second in a field of four.  The time of the trial was 22:45, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2.25 lengths.  Grooven Chris was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Paula's Delight trialled over the 390m from box five, weight 25.5 kgs, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four.  The time of the trial was 22:45, the greyhound won by a margin of 2.25 lengths.  Paula's Delight was Cleared.
