The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Le Grand Bleu and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 11:18am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mr.John Higgins was fined the sum of $100.
Mazing Moo was quick to begin. Mepunga Tyler, Lacey's Lad and Baroque Up collided soon after the start checking Lacey's Lad. Mazing Moo, Baron Lad and Lonnie Lad collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Mazing Moo and Baron Lad. Saint Elite and Lonnie Lad collided in the home straight.
