Steward's Report
The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Onslaught and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 2.40p.m due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Ms A. Courts was fined the sum of $100.
A pre race sample was taken from Gold Magic.
Golden Warrior was slow to begin. Blazing Nitro and Red Bomber collided approaching the first turn, checking Red Bomber. Gold Magic and Baby Blitzen collided on the first turn. Gold Magic checked off Golden Warrior approaching the home turn, checking Baby Blitzen, Red Bomber, severely checking Gold Magic and Blazing Nitro. Blazing Nitro raced wide on the home turn. Baby Blitzen checked off Golden Warrior in the home straight.
Blazing Nitro was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
