Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms J. Riley, the trainer of Jazz Apple regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Jazz Apple last raced on 30th October, 2015. Ms Riley stated that the greyhound was resuming from a spell. Ms Riley also declared a new weight of 25.9kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Jazz Apple last raced at 27.1kg.
Paranorman was slow to begin. Jazz Apple went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Pingu and Maybe Vegas collided soon after the start, checking Pingu. Maybe Vegas checked off King Of Sunshine approaching the home turn, severely checking Pingu. Jazz Apple and Pingu collided on the home turn, severely checking Jazz Apple which raced wide.
Jazz Apple was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Meeting Comments:
Stewards spoke to Mr J.Sharp and reminded him of his responsibilities in regards to the use of mobile phones in the kennelling area (GAR 44).
