Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mrs. J. Brouwer, the trainer of Banate Express regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Banate Express last raced on 28th September 2015. Mrs. Brouwer stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after suffering a back muscle injury.
A pre-race sample was taken from Mr. Banks.
Banate Express and Explosive Tiger were slow to begin. Limiter Burst, Pretty Crazy and Regal Hussler collided on the first turn checking Pretty Crazy and severely checking Explosive Tiger and Regal Hussler. Limiter Burst checked off Mr. Banks approaching the home turn. Panders Box raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. J. Brouwer regarding the direction that the greyhound Banate Express be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.
