Steward's Report

Lots Of Trouble and Spring Saviour were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.  Madambash checked off Go The Rat approaching the first turn.  Junior Jatt and Burra Flight collided on the first turn checking Junior Jatt which stumbled as a result.  Go The Rat checked off Rockin' Riri approaching the home turn checking Go The Rat and severely checking Burra Flight and Spring Saviour.  Lots Of Trouble checked off Junior Jatt on the home turn.  Madambash, Go The Rat and Burra Flight raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.  Junior Jatt and Lots Of Trouble collided entering the home straight checking Junior Jatt.

Junior Jatt was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right thigh.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Burra Flight was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Mason, the trainer of the greyhound Rockin' Riri regarding the greyhound performing above market expectations in this event. Mr. Mason stated that the greyhound began well today and was able to lead clearly without receiving any interference.  Mr. Mason also stated that the greyhound had been trialling well and that he had expected a competitive performance today.  Stewards noted his explanation and directed that a sample be taken from the greyhound.
