Junior Jatt was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right thigh.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Burra Flight was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Mason, the trainer of the greyhound Rockin' Riri regarding the greyhound performing above market expectations in this event. Mr. Mason stated that the greyhound began well today and was able to lead clearly without receiving any interference.  Mr. Mason also stated that the greyhound had been trialling well and that he had expected a competitive performance today.  Stewards noted his explanation and directed that a sample be taken from the greyhound.

Shake 'Em Up and Crash And Bash were slow to begin.  Alouette Jack and Cosmic Jam collided approaching the first turn checking Cosmic Jam.  Shake 'Em Up checked off Kippy Girl on the first turn.  Scotta Be Quick checked off Rene's Memory on the first turn checking Kippy Girl.  Alouette Magic checked off One Mississippi approaching the home turn.  Scotta Be Quick and Crash And Bash collided approaching the home turn checking Scotta Be Quick and Kippy Girl. Scotta Be Quick and Kippy Girl crossed to the outside on the home turn and raced wide as a result.  Alouette Jack raced wide in the home straight.

Scotta Be Quick was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left shoulder and right hock.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Kippy Girl was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

West Side Jet and Dr. Chitchat were slow to begin.  Supersonic Bob and Blitzen Bell collided soon after the start checking Supersonic Bob.  Janray Anolajean, White's A Winner, Senni Bones and Blitzen Bell collided approaching the first turn severely checking Janray Anolajean, White's A Winner and Supersonic Bob. Blitzen Bell and West Side Jet raced wide entering the home straight.

Supersonic Bob was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right wrist.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Lady Kip, Rocket Riley and Azza were slow to begin.  Cathy's Tiger, Arctic Winter and Mate collided approaching the first turn checking Arctic Winter and Mate. Lady Kip severely checked off Rocket Riley on the first turn.  Cathy's Tiger and Mate collided on the home turn.  Cathy's Tiger, Mate, Rocket Riley and Azza raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Tally Ho Jack went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.  Alby's Shadow, Vegas Las Paris and Sisco Blast collided soon after the start checking Alby's Shadow and Vegas Las Paris.  Snow Bomber and Go Good Riddance collided soon after the start checking Snow Bomber.  Taltarni Shiraz checked off Elite Shiraz on the first turn severely checking Taltarni Shiraz and Sisco Blast.  Snow Bomber checked off Sisco Blast approaching the home turn.  Alby's Shadow raced wide on the home turn.  Go Good Riddance and Elite Shiraz collided in the home straight.

Stewards issued a warning to Ms. S. Carswell, the handler of the greyhound Alby's Shadow regarding her failure to obey the starters instructions.

Stewards issued a warning to Ms. K. Love, the handler of the greyhound Vegas Las Paris regarding her failure to box the greyhound in a timely manner. 

Highfield Bones was quick to begin.  Oracle Of Omaha and Magic Wilson were slow to begin.  Spring Velox and Rising Assets collided soon after the start checking Rising Assets.  Highfield Bones and Don's Collision collided on the first turn.  Janray Revenge checked off Storm Trooper entering the back straight. Janray Revenge checked off Magic Wilson in the back straight checking Magic Wilson and causing Janray Revenge to fall. Spring Velox checked off Highfield Bones in the home straight.  Magic Wilson lost considerable ground over the concluding stages of the event and tailed off as a result.

Magic Wilson was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its right shoulder and left coupling (loin).  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Janray Revenge was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fracture to its left elbow.  A 30 day stand down period was imposed.

Bunny Magnet was quick to begin.  Dulcet Sound and Dontron were slow to begin.  Catweasel, Blonde Yappa and Dulcet Sound collided approaching the first turn checking Blonde Yappa.  Catweasel, Hannebery Thyme and Dulcet Sound collided on the first turn checking Hannebery Thyme.  Hannebery Thyme and Cas collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Catweasel checked off Bunny Magnet approaching the home turn checking Dontron.  Bunny Magnet and Blonde Yappa raced wide in the home straight.  Blonde Yappa checked off Dontron in the home straight.

Smokey Queen was quick to begin.  Monaleen Mojo was slow to begin.  Lloyd Christmas checked off Whipstick Sid soon after the start checking Spare Parts and Kumani.  Tally Ho Kate and Whipstick Kid collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Whipstick Sid, Lloyd Christmas and Kumani.  Tally Ho Kate and Monaleen Mojo collided on the first turn checking Tally Ho Kate.  Whipstick Sid, Kumani and Spare Parts collided entering the home straight checking Kumani.

Super Ricky was quick to begin.  Ninja Fighter was slow to begin.  Balloon D'Or went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (4 lengths).  Djays Larry checked off Nancy Botwin soon after the start.  Djays Larry and Mr Prom collided approaching the first turn checking Djays Larry and severely checking Mr Prom.  Ninja Fighter galloped on the heels of Distributor approaching the home turn checking Ninja Fighter.  Djays Larry and Arcup Ollie raced wide on the home turn.  Arcup Ollie and Ninja Fighter collided in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

Mr Prom was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right shoulder.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Seabrook Oscar and Jack's Miss were slow to begin.  Scarlet Genie checked off Zero Care Factor soon after the start.  Baron Bob, Sixty Three and Miss Black Hawke collided approaching the first turn checking Sixty Three.  Sixty Three, Jack's Miss and Buffy's Bear collided on the first turn checking Jack's Miss and Buffy's Bear.  Jack's Miss clipped the heels of Scarlet Genie approaching the home turn checking Scarlet Genie.  Miss Black Hawke and Zero Care Factor collided approaching the home turn checking Zero Care Factor.  Seabrook Oscar and Miss Black Hawke collided on the home turn checking Seabrook Oscar and Zero Care Factor.

Ramrod was a late scratching at 11:12am due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr. W. Hooke was fined the sum of $100.

Tribe, Baron Charlie and Corgi Swab were slow to begin.  Rosie's Rebel checked off Dusty's Magic soon after the start.  Rosie's Rebel brushed the running rail approaching the first turn and lost ground as a result.  Tribe and Corgi Swab collided on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Ms. R. New and reminded her of her responsibilities in regards to the displaying of her licence (LRR 16.2).

Stewards spoke to Mrs. J. Brouwer, the trainer of Banate Express regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Banate Express last raced on 28th September 2015.  Mrs. Brouwer stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after suffering a back muscle injury.

Banate Express and Explosive Tiger were slow to begin.  Limiter Burst, Pretty Crazy and Regal Hussler collided on the first turn checking Pretty Crazy and severely checking Explosive Tiger and Regal Hussler.  Limiter Burst checked off Mr. Banks approaching the home turn.  Panders Box raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. J. Brouwer regarding the direction that the greyhound Banate Express be boxed first.  Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.
