Steward's Report
Alpha Triton and Lorenzo Blue were slow to begin.
Dr. Darkrai and Flying Smooth collided soon after the start. Champion Exhibit and Lorenzo Blue collided soon after the start. Flying Smooth, Blue Alcatraz and Dundee Calypso collided approaching the first turn. Alpha Triton and Lorenzo Blue collided approaching the second turn. Flying Smooth and Dundee Calypso collided on the second turn. Dr. Drakrai, Avatar Jet and Champion Exhibit collided approaching the third turn. Dr. Darkrai and Champion Exhibit collided on the third turn severely checking both greyhounds. Blue Alcatraz, Alpha Triton, Avatar Jet and Champion Exhibit collided approaching the home turn. Avatar Jet raced wide entering the home straight and collided with Champion Exhibit.
Dr. Darkrai was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr W. McMahon, the trainer of the greyhound Dr. Darkrai. Stewards deemed the performance of Dr. Darkrai unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Dr. Darkrai must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
