McNeo was quick to begin. Rockin' Rico, Blue Gum Hill, Mepunga Blazer and Fifteen Two were slow to begin.
Sacramento Sal and Mepunga Blazer collided on the first turn. Snoop Junior and Blue Gum Hill collided on the first turn. Fifteen Two raced wide on the first turn. Sacramento Sal crossed to the rail approaching the second turn checking Blue Gum Hill, Mepunga Blazer, Fifteen Two and severely checking Snoop Junior. Sacramento Sal and Blue Gum Hill collided entering the home straight.
Snoop Junior was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right deltoid injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
