Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr G.Hunt, the trainer of Cudgee's Mila regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Cudgee's Myla last raced on 2 November 2016. Mr Hunt stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a left monkey muscle injury.
Stewards spoke to Mr ,C.Treherne, the trainer of Lektra Dizzy regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Lektra Dizzy last raced on 27 December 2016 Mr.Treherne stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following an extended spell.
Sporto Brian was a late scratching at 3.18pm on Veterinary advice (GAR 37)(external parasites). A zero day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A pre-race sample was taken from Lektra Dizzy.
Page Boy was slow to begin. Lektra Dizzy and Modern Value collided approaching the first turn checking Lektra Dizzy. Fantasy Skye checked off Cee Righty on the first turn. Cudgee's Myla checked off Fantasy Skye on the home turn. Fantasy Skye and Cudgee's Myla collided in the home straight checking Fantasy Skye. Cee Righty and Modern Value collided approaching the winning post.
Lektra Dizzy which tired in the home straight was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.
