Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Crackerjack Pest.
Crackerjack Pest and Dyna Gary collided soon after the start, checking Dyna Gary. Sixteen Bills, Gabrielle Allen and Allen Marky collided approaching the first turn, checking Gabrielle Allen and Allen Marky. Connemara Black, Zambora Krystal and Sixteen Bills collided on the first turn, checking Crackerjack Pest and causing Zambora Krystal and Sixteen Bills to fall. Dyna Gary eased on the first turn. Dyna Gary raced wide in the home straight and collided with Crackerjack Pest.
Zambora Krystal was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left hindleg, a seven day stand down period was imposed.
Sixteen Bills was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mrs A Dailly, the trainer of the greyhound Dyna Gary, regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Dyna Gary was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg triangle injury, a five day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Dyna Gary with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs Dailly pleaded guilty to the charge, Dyna Gary was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
