Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mrs A Dailly, the trainer of Queen Quick, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Queen Quick last raced on 2 December 2016. Mrs Dailly stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following an extended spell.
Mr J Sharp, trainer of Calabasas, declared a new weight of 27.2 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Calabasas last raced at 25.4 kgs.
A pre-race sample was taken from Queen Quick.
Bevvies Bullet was slow to begin. Hell Blazin' and Riverdale Sugar collided soon after the start. Bevvies Bullet and Riverdale Sugar collided approaching the first turn, checking Riverdale Sugar. Exford Peggy, Wicked Hillary, Hell Blazin' and Bevvies Bullet collided on the first turn, checking Exford Peggy and Wicked Hillary. Like A Bailey, Hell Blazin', Riverdale Sugar and Queen Quick collided on the first turn, checking Queen Quick, Hell Blazin' and Riverdale Sugar. Hell Blazin' checked off the heels of Bevvies Bullet on the first turn. Wicked Hillary and Riverdale Sugar collided approaching the home turn, checking Riverdale Sugar. Exford Peggy raced wide entering the home straight. Riverdale Sugar checked off Wicked Hillary in the home straight.
