A pre-race sample was taken from Magic Rusty.
Gold Trail was slow to begin. Windmills, Tally Ho Tink and Destini Teerex collided soon after the start. Magic Rusty checked off Razzle Oak approaching the first turn. Tally Ho Tink and Destini Teerex collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn. Gold Trail, Magic Rusty and Mudslinger collided on the home turn checking Magic Rusty.
Destini Teerex was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left deltoid muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
