Steward's Report
Big Hook, Son Of Steve and My Mate Horse were slow to begin. Dr. Leonardo and Sparky Neveelk collided soon after the start. Dr. Gammiris and Dr. Kestrel collided approaching the first turn checking Dr. Gammiris. Dr. Gammiris, Dr. Kestrel and My Mate Horse collided approaching the first turn. Dr. Kestrel and My Mate Horse collided on the first turn checking My Mate Horse. Dr. Gammiris was checked off Son Of Steve in the back straight. My Mate Horse eased entering the home straight. My Mate Horse eased in the home straight and marred Aston Powers checking Aston Powers.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Hall the trainer of the greyhound My Mate Horse regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight. My Mate Horse was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) Stewards charged My Mate Horse with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. Mr. Hall pleaded guilty to the charge, My Mate Horse was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
