Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Scott Melville, the representative of Glory Rose, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Glory Rose last raced on 22nd December, 2016 and is returning to racing after a right back muscle injury.
Flaming Causeway, Omamori and Swift Knockout were quick to begin. Flaming Causeway and Omamori collided soon after the start. Swift Knockout checked off Miss Adok on the first turn, severely checking Flaming Causeway, Highfield Bambo and Glory Rose; Kraken Titch fell as a result. Swift Knockout checked off Storm Of All approaching the home turn.
Highfield Bambo was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a phalangeal (toe) fracture on the right hind. A 60-day stand down period was imposed.
Kraken Titch was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a cervico-thoracic injury. A 21-day stand down period was imposed.
