Fallen Star and Retention collided soon after the start checking Fallen Star. Amlin Boy crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Retention. Text Me Tony and Soda Storm collided approaching the first turn. Retention and Text Me Tony collided on the first turn checking Retention, Text Me Tony and severely checking Bandit Brad which stumbled. Bandit Brad galloped on Text Me Tony on the home turn checking both greyhounds.
Stewards spoke to trainer Mr N. Haigh regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Cooler Colour. Stewards directed that Cooler Colour be boxed first in future events.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr B. Toner, the trainer of What's Her Name regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. What's Her Name last raced on 31/07/2016. Mr. B Toner stated that that the greyhound was returning from a seasonal spell Pursuant to GAR 77A, What's Her Name trialled over the 315mtrs from box 1, weight 27.7kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.53, the greyhound won by a margin of 2.75. What's Her Name was Cleared.
